Ancestry Library Edition

Library customers can access Ancestry Library Edition in any South Australian Public Library.

The site offers access to genealogical information, enabling you to research your family history,historical events, or famous figures.

Ancestry.com is a commercial edition, promoted on television. The site will only permit a few searches before prompting for payment. The SA Public Library Network has purchased Ancestry Library Edition, to enable free access to the public. To access this subscription, you will need to visit your local Public Library.

Ancestry Library Edition does not allow in home or remote use.

Ancestry Library Edition contains an unparalled range of access to United States and United Kingdom census, vital, church, court, and immigration records. It also contains record collections from Canada, Europe, Australia, and other areas of the world.

You can search the entire database, or just specific collections. These collections include the following:
