Library Room Bookings
All Library rooms are available for the community to utilise, with bookings made no more than 1 month in advance unless authorised by the Library Manager.

  • All rooms incur a cost for Commercial Hire.

Commercial Hire means an organisation, group or individual that is a for profit business.

A tax invoice will be generated and posted to client prior to the event. Payment is to be made directly to the City of Mount Gambier on receipt of invoice.
A Fee Waiver form can be obtained from the Library to apply for partial or full sponsorship of the room.

General Conditions of Room Hire

  • Hirer is responsible for set up and pack down of the room.
  • Tables, chairs and other furniture are to be placed in their original positions.
  • All areas cleaned to the satisfaction of Library Management and waste matter deposited in bins provided. Failure to do so may result in cleaning fees being charged.
  • Tea and coffee facilities are available in most rooms upon request. Hirer to provide their own milk.
  • All damage to be reported immediately. Repairing/and or replacing damaged furniture, fixtures or fittings may be to the responsibility of the hirer. If any necessary repairs are not reported or replacement is not undertaken within a reasonable time, the library may repair and/or replace and recover the costs from the hirer.
  • No alcohol is to be provided or consumed within the Library.
  • Please contact the Library if you are going to be late or cannot make your booking. If you are more than 30 minutes late your booking may be cancelled. The Library will make every effort to contact you before cancelling.
