156 Main North Road Prospect. The hospital (Northern Private) was opened in 1933 and operated until 1951 when it was sold and upgraded to become Northern Community Hospital. In 1956 it was extended to include a 20 bed surgical wing and increased capacity. Further extensions occured in the late 1960's to include an x-ray wing and a labour ward.
