Children of David Miller - Left to right: Eva Annie, John Edmund, born 1859, Minnie Maud, born 1872. Minnie Maud married Henry Gluyas. Henry Gluyas was a breeder of rust resistant wheat. Florence's daughter wrote "The house at Hardy's Corner". Hardy's Corner = Miller's Corner. David Miller was born in England in 1826. He owned a hardware store on the corner of Partridge Street and Jetty Road - Miller's Corner. 106

Donated by: Bill Lyne, 2010. Portrait of Sir John Colton, 1823 to 1902. Sir John Colton was a Legislator, Merchant, and Premier and Commissioner of Public Works on the 6th June 1876. In 1891 Colton was appointed K.C.M.G.. He was trustee of more than a hundred Wesleyan Churches, member of the boards of the Blind, Deaf and Dumb Institution (Townsend House), and of the Adelaide Children's Hospital (The Colton memorial wing was erected in 1902).
